Here are some fun videos that have nothing at all to do with dentistry.
If you know Dr. Wolter and Sandy, you might seeing them as they were 25 and 45 years ago!
"The Great Speedee Mart Robbery"
This is an 8mm silent movie that was shot by Dr. Wolter and his girlfriend when he was 16 years old. It was recently rediscovered and converted to video. Then we added some titles and a soundtrack. There's really not much to it, other than some high school kids fooling around with a borrowed 8 mm camera. The most interesting thing about the movie is that the action starts less then 50 yards from our current dental office (back in the days when 4-lane Olympic Boulevard was 2-lane Newell Avenue). Also note the old cars, no motorcycle helmets, the white socks, and skinny Dr Wolter with lots of hair!
"The Man from E.R.P."
This is the second, and final 8mm film by Elmo/Retlow Productions, also filmed in 1966. Edited by Dr. Wolter in 2010.
"The Dark Side of Midnight"
Back in 1984, Sandy acccepted a role in a "campy" horror film that was filmed in Modesto. She plays the part of the police detective's girlfriend who is eventually chased by a serial killer, called "The Creeper". This film didn't win any Academy Awards, but it is still shown on late light TV, and is available on Amazon.com. Here are some the scenes that feature Sandy, with "thought balloons" added by Dr. Wolter. It's not a classic by any means, but it IS a blast from the past!
