Saturday Morning Appointments
For those who cannot take off from work or school during the week, our office is open from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon every other Saturday. We are just about the ONLY office in Contra Costa County that is open at all on Saturdays, and these appointments are in very high demand.
There is no additional fee for these regularly scheduled Saturday morning appointments.
Even though some patients wait months to get a Saturday appointment, they also have a very high "no-show" rate. (Especially if it's a nice day outside!) When a patient fails to keep a Saturday appointment, all of the office's labor and fixed overhead costs must still be paid, but spread out over fewer patients. Just a single "no-show" can spoil our whole day.
Because of this, we had to institute the following two rules for Saturday appointments.
1. If a patient fails to keep a Saturday appointment, we may charge a reasonable fee to cover our expenses, and we may require a refundable deposit before scheduling any more Saturday appointments.
2. We won't schedule multiple members of the same family on a Saturday, unless they post a $100 per person refundable deposit. This is because if one family member doesn't feel well, the whole family will cancel or won't show up.
We would love to have you visit us on a Saturday, but don't schedule that Saturday appointment unless you are sure that you can keep it.
