Brain Teaser: 180 MPH makes sense, but it's incorrect.

(60 + 180)/2 = 240/2 = 120
Don't feel bad. This has even confused math professors. Think "MPH".
(I promise to give you the answer, and explain it, if no one has gotten it by New Year's Day).

Driver cannot go fast enough to average 120 over two laps. Look at it this way: 120 mph is 2 miles per minute. Two laps equals 2 miles. At 60mph, driver went just 1 mile in a minute there is no time left to "average " 120 moh over the one remaining lap.
